Moritz Seider was drafted 6th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2019. After further development in Germany and Sweden, he debuted in 2021–22, scoring 50 points and winning the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year. A steady two-way defenseman, he has since become Detroit’s cornerstone on the blue line, with 180 points in 328 games through the 2024–25 season.
