Player biography

Christoph Schubert was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the fourth round, 127th overall, of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. After three seasons with Ottawa’s AHL affiliate, he became a regular with the Senators in 2005–06. The versatile German skater was used primarily on defense but also saw time at forward.

Schubert spent four NHL seasons with Ottawa and helped the Senators reach the 2007 Stanley Cup Final. He played the 2009–10 season with the Atlanta Thrashers before returning to Europe. In 315 NHL regular-season games, he recorded 25 goals and 47 assists for 72 points.
