Christoph Schubert Jersey | Game-Worn Ottawa Senators

Christoph Schubert became one of Germany’s most versatile NHL players, contributing on defense and occasionally at forward. The Ottawa Senators selected him 127th overall in the fourth round of the 2001 NHL Draft. After three AHL seasons, he earned a regular NHL role with Ottawa in 2005–06. Schubert helped the Senators reach the 2007 Stanley Cup Final and remained with the club through 2008–09. He then played the 2009–10 season with the Atlanta Thrashers. Across 315 NHL regular-season games, he recorded 25 goals and 72 points.

After leaving the NHL, Schubert continued his playing career in Sweden and Germany. He also represented Germany at six IIHF World Championships and two Olympic Winter Games. Later, he moved into coaching and worked with Germany’s U20 program, Heilbronner Falken and Füchse Duisburg. Schubert served as an assistant coach with EV Landshut during the 2024–25 season before leaving the club in May 2025. His path from a fourth-round pick to an NHL regular and coach reflects a long career across several levels of German hockey.
