Player vita

Nico Sturm began his NHL career with the Minnesota Wild in 2019 after signing as an undrafted free agent. The defensively reliable center later joined the Colorado Avalanche and won the Stanley Cup in 2022.

After three seasons with the San Jose Sharks, he was traded to the Florida Panthers in March 2025 and earned a second Stanley Cup championship that spring. Sturm returned to Minnesota in July 2025 on a two-year contract. Known for his faceoff ability, defensive responsibility and penalty-killing work, he has established himself as a dependable bottom-six NHL center.
