JJ Peterka was drafted 34th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2020. After a standout rookie year in the AHL with Rochester, he became a full-time NHLer in 2022–23. Over three seasons in Buffalo he posted 150 points in 238 games, peaking at 68 points (27 G, 41 A) in 2024–25. In June 2025 he was traded to the Utah Mammoth and signed a five-year extension, cementing his role as a core forward.
